Garrett Cassidy is the founder of Abarta Consulting, with over 30 years’ experience across banking, payments, digital assets, and fintech. He works at the intersection of product strategy, regulatory compliance, and market execution, helping firms navigate complex regulatory environments while building commercially viable solutions.
He began his career at Goldman Sachs and has held senior roles at Monese, Circle, and Bank of Ireland, spanning technology, strategic transformation, finance, and operations across payments, lending, capital markets and digital assets. He also founded and exited Trezeo, a regulated fintech business.
Garrett brings an entrepreneurial, execution-focused approach, combining deep product and regulatory expertise with practical delivery experience. He advises firms on strategy, authorisation, and scaling in regulated markets, with particular focus on payments and digital assets.
In addition to leading Abarta Consulting, he serves as Board Chair and Non-Executive Director at Currenxie Europe, and as Non-Executive Director at Ramp Network Ireland.
He is a Techstars mentor and a regular speaker at industry events.
